October signals a change in routine for many families. Early mornings, chauffeuring kids to extra-curricular activities, homework, uniforms and more. With all this, it can be difficult to fit in some time to plan fun family activities, with many of us ending up going to the same places every weekend. This is why we are here! Buzymummy.com and Soparents.com aim to inspire parents with new ideas on where to go with kids.
This month we are singling out the ‘October Ahoy!’ weekends at Valletta Waterfront which start on Saturday 6th October and end on Sunday 28th October. Timings are in the evenings on Saturdays (7:30pm – 10:30pm) and early afternoon on Sundays (12:00pm – 4:30pm) with a bonus for Halloween on the 31st October (7pm onwards)
So what can one expect during the ‘October Ahoy’ weekends at Valletta Waterfront?
1) It’s a street party for kids!
In October the Valletta Waterfront will be transformed into a street party for kids. From balloon modelling and crafts to face-painting and puppet shows kids are sure to have a great time. Plus, the event will also feature animators dressed up in some of our kids’ favourite characters including Minnie and Mickey, Winnie the Pooh, Princess Poppy, the Paw Patrol Pups and others.
2) There will be life-size games AND bouncy castles
There will be a number of life-size interactive games offering children the opportunity to play together and learn at the same time! Plus, bouncy castles will also feature at ‘October Ahoy’ at Valletta Waterfront, so your little ones can jump around and play to their heart’s content.
3) All activities are free of charge
Did we mention that all the fun activities mentioned are free of charge? Yes, from the puppet shows and life-size games to the animation and bouncy castles there is no booking or payment required, simply turn up and join in the fun!
4) The food!
The Valletta Waterfront is home to some of the best family-friendly restaurants on the island, including Tal-Kaptan, Hard Rock Café, Pepe Nero, Nan Yuan, Bistro 516 and many more. View the full list of restaurants here.
5) Halloween-themed weekend!
And to top it all off the atmosphere at Valletta Waterfront will take on a scary hue during the last weekend of October and on Wednesday 31st October, to celebrate Halloween. Your little ones will have the opportunity for trick and treating, Halloween crafts, or simply jumping around on one of the bouncy castles. Eerie nautical characters will roam the promenade with treats. Kids (and adults) are invited to join in the fun and wear a costume!
So head on down to Valletta Waterfront this weekend and enjoy a fun-filled time with your family.
