If you are living on this planet, by now you have probably heard that Malta will soon be hosting Sesame Street Live: Make A New Friend.
But what should we expect from this theater show? Is it suitable for young children? Will it keep them entertained?
We sat down with Wesley Ellul, from Big Ticket Events to find out 10 reasons not to miss this internationally acclaimed family show.
The show will be performed 4 Times in Malta on Saturday 18th November at 10:30 am, 2pm and 17:30 Pm and Sunday 19th November at 3pm at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.
1) First Show This Big In Malta
There has never been a Children’s show of this calibre which has come to Malta – It truly is a FUN, entertaining night out and EVERYONE will have a great time!
2) Special Message
The show has a special message about making new friends, and how these friends can be of any race, religion or background and should all be treated the same.
3) Opportunity For Young Children To Experience Theatre For The First time
It is an amazing first theatre experience for any kid, because they will be able to understand how amazing a live show can be, and will encourage them to want to watch more live shows and experience culture in a whole new way.
4) It’s Sesame Street!
It’s the world’s longest running children’s program which has been going for 48 years (since 1969!!) and features some of the friendliest most memorable characters the world has known.
5) Also Suitable For Kids Who Never Watched Sesame Street
The show doesn’t rely on one being familiar with the characters, but on a great story of friendship and fun!
6) Surprise!
One of the best parts of the show is the massive surprise Grover gets when his friends prepare a musical number for him. IT is literally a BROADWAY show in itself, which you have to view ‘live’ to appreciate.
7) Entertaining For ALL Ages
The show is suitable for all, from babies as young as 6 months who will love the colour, the lights and the music, to young children and even older children. When we watched the show in New York, there was a family of five in front of us and their kids who were around 8 and 9 were loving it as much as the four year old.
8) The Show Is Educational
The show aims to educate, helping to teach numbers, letters and songs, and also important life lessons like staying away from strangers and the importance of being nice to others.
9) Special Effects
The show is so engaging, and colourful, with some amazing special effects, and lots of singing and dancing. Watching the show, you just can’t help but smile.
10) Current Songs
The show is great for adults too since some of the songs are adapted from hits we know like Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 amongst others!
