Comfort first
If you have read any of my past posts, then you would know by now that comfort is super important to me when it comes to clothing.
I don’t have patience anymore for wearing ridiculous underwear to make a particular dress look good, or heels or wedges during the day because my legs would look better than they would in flats.
Naturally when it comes to special occasions I make an exception, but for everyday style, what I wear needs to be adaptable to my busy lifestyle.
Probably a couple of years back I would have worn this type of dress with a pair of wedges, (1) because they were more on trend than they are now and (2) because I would have been ready to feel a little discomfort to make my legs look longer.
Now? Nope. Comfy flats it is.

Floral inspiration
I wore this floral flowy mini-dress from Zara to visit the stunning Citaddella, in Gozo (If you are in Gozo you must go there and have lunch at the epic Riccardo’s). I just love how it comes out at the waist, giving a really flattering silouette. The fabric is feather-light which is a plus, considering the heat seems to be here to stay in Malta and Gozo. What I also love about it, is that once the weather gets a little bit cooler (if it ever does), I can pair it with a nice cardi and ballerina flats.
This dress is now all sold out but I have linked a couple of similar dresses available online as well as some other floral pieces which I absolutely love. (I WANT THEM ALL)

It just doesn’t get more comfortable and effortless than this. Add a pop of colour with a bright-coloured handbag or pair of flats and you are good to go.
Another simple, comfortable dress. Its tiered ruffle shoulders which follow through to the back give it a fun, playful slant without being too over the top. You may wish to pair with a strappy vest like this one if you are uncomfortable with the low neckline.
How hard is it to find beautiful maternity-wear? We absolutely love this blue floral dress from the Asos Maternity range. Perfect for the upcoming autumn wedding season.
This floral number is one of those dresses which you will want to wear again and again. We think it would look great with a cute denim jacket and a pair of black flats (click on underlined text to view items)
This dress is slightly more formal than the other pieces, but we love the fact that it can still be worn with a pair of cute ballerina flats (comfort and style – all the way!)
In the mood to splurge? This classic Victoria Beckham number is classy, minimalist and timeless. A frock that will definitely stand the test of time, its ladylike pleats, feminine floral print and V neckline combine to make this pristine white dress a chic but contemporary number, and the longer length adds a demure element which we love.
If you work in an office this dress is just perfect. Flattering, stylish and feminine but at the same time it has a ‘don’t mess with me’ kind of feel about it. And it can easily be paired with a stylish blazer and pair of cute booties for the cooler weather.
