Earlier today a mum posted a message directed to other mums on Facebook group, Fun Loving Mums about her ‘scary’ experience with her son. Whilst having lunch with her family she noticed a stranger taking photos of the children playing. With her permission we are sharing her exact words:
“Just had a very scary experience with my son this afternoon. While having lunch our children were playing on their scooters and a man called one of them over and took photos, this already made me uncomfortable but what happened after is even worse.”
She continues to say that together with the man, there was also a woman who was wearing a veil thus covering her identity quite well. The mum wrote:
“About an hour later I was coming out of the toilet and I noticed my son waking towards the toilets with the woman who was with the man taking photos. I immediately asked him where he was going & he told me that she didn’t know the way to the toilet. I told her that she should ask an adult next time and took my son away.”
She notified the police who requested that the man deletes all the photos taken:
“There were some police outside at that time so I went to tell them what happened and as I was speaking to them the man who took the photos came to ask what the problem was.. so he knew I was informing him about his wife even though she was supposedly still in the bathroom. The police asked for his phone where they found photos of my son and other children too. They asked him to delete the photos even though he insisted that there’s nothing wrong with him having photos of random children. I hate to think what she might have wanted from my son in the bathroom! Parents beware!”
The response from other parents is overwhelming with many of them sharing the distraught mum’s post, to warn other parents to keep an eye on their kids and avoid anything worse happening to their children.
Should any parents come across anything similar they are urged to report the incident to the police immediately.
