1) Children Cinema Day

Enjoy a great family event at The Embassy Cinema in Valletta, which brings us a selection of movies in 2D, 3D and animation as well as interactive entertainment during the Children Cinema Day. The movies include favourites such as Moana, Ballerina, LEGO Batman movie, Sing, Monster Trucks, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The Embassy is offering reduced prices on all shows, starting from €2.50 per child and €4.00 per adult, as well as a free McDonald’s Happy Meal voucher per child, until stocks last. 2) Salina Open Day & Aquarium special offer

Treat your family to a free educational and fun outing to discover a thing or two about Maltese heritage and the local flora and fauna during the Salina Open Day. The day will include guided tours around the Salina salt pans, hands-on salt production demonstrations, birdwatching and a BirdLife Malta stand, other educational and leisure activities for children, bouncy castles, pony rides, artist’s corner, various environmental education stands, traditional Maltese stalls, an open air food court and cafeteria, live entertainment and audio-visuals.
Free train rides to and from the Malta National Aquarium will be available and free parking at Ta’ Fra Ben, with free children’s entrance to the aquarium and adults paying €9.90 instead of €12.90.
3) Costa Kids Corner

Get a moment’s peace with a good cup of coffee when out shopping with your little ones. Costa Coffee at The Point shopping mall, in collaboration with Little Elephants, is providing free children’s activities twice a month for the next six months. Costa Kids Corner is not a childminding service but it aims to keep your children entertained with playdough, colouring, face painting, block building and more while you enjoy your little break.
4) Balloon et L’Ame

15th and 16th March 2017
Zfin Malta will present a contemporary choreography inspired by the Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. The performance is on 15th and 16th for schools, with subsidized entrance ticket rates, and on Sunday 19th there is another performance for families. 5) The Pancakes & Crêpes Festival

Indulge in Malta’s first Pancakes & Crêpes Festival, where the whole family can enjoy over fifty different types of pancakes and crêpes and a huge, record-breaking roly poly, as well as several stalls and a children’s area. Attendance is free and free parking is available.
6) Thriving Kids Posture Workshop
Sanya Spa at Hilltop Gardens, Triq L-Inkwina, Naxxar

Educate yourself on the importance of maintaining good posture in your child during a 45-minute interactive workshop by Dr Cristin, Posture Expert & Child Development Specialist, which is followed by question time and afternoon tea. 7) Martha’s Narnia

Entertain and educate the whole family with a dance show by The College of Dance & The YADA Dance Academy, which is designed specifically for children. Martha’s Narnia dance show tackles the problem of bullying, portraying the importance of overcoming fear and demonstrating how, with the right attitude, good will always reign on evil. Tickets at 13 euro per person.
8) MRO17 – Malta Robotics Olympiad
MFCC, Ta’ Qali

Fascinate your children at The Malta Robotics Olympiad, a technology display including hands on workshops for all ages, with over fifty exhibitors and six major events under one roof. This free fun family event is being organised by the Ministry for Education & Employment and GO, and includes a free shuttle service from the Millennium Stadium Bus Stop and all major Ta’ Qali parking areas.
9) Perinatal, Infant & Early Years Mental Health Conference
MFCC, Ta’ Qali
28 March & 29 March
The perinatal, infant and early years mental health two-day conference will seek to explore:
– perinatal mental illness, including early diagnosis and evidence-based intervention, with particular reference to the development of clinical guidelines for further service development in Malta
– the relationship between maternal mental health and parent-child attachment
– factors that impact maternal and infant mental health including child temperament; health and wellbeing (parent and child); the couple relationship; and family support
– best practice in relation to adoption support interventions, promote improved emotion regulation and mental health
– early assessment, diagnosis and intervention of autism in young children
– restricted and repetitive behaviours in young children, with and without autism
10) Beauty and The Beast Opening Event at Eden Cinemas

For the opening event of the movie Beauty and The Beast, on Saturday the 18th of March Eden Cinemas will be transforming their theatres into a Beauty and the Beast haven. From 1pm there’ll be a host of animators and for a truly unique experience, all patrons will be invited to take photos with the dearly loved characters, Belle and Lumière. Just before the screening, which begins at 2pm, there will also be a sing along performance of the Beauty and the Beast classics. All this can be enjoyed for just an additional €3 to the normal ticket price. This cinema event is the perfect opportunity for all kids to get dressed up and meet the Beauty and the Beast characters and have a magical afternoon.
