Let’s face it, the weather here in Malta has been very kind to us this fall. Gorgeous sunny days were aplenty and we are not complaining. So now that those grey clouds have reared their heads up in the sky, what are us mummies of young children to do?
For this feature, our original idea was to go out on an actual picnic and capture some outdoor snaps whilst giving some tips on our favourite picnic spots around Malta. That didn’t work out so well since it ended up being one of the very few days this October that it rained really heavily.
But we didn’t let that hold us back. Thanks to the very talented photographer Magdalena Czerny Muscat from MJ Photo Studio International who provided us with this gorgeous setting for our indoor picnic in her studio, and the ever-so-resourceful Francesca Pace from ‘Gaia and Nina Blog’, we managed to have our tea-party picnic, indoors!

As you can see, all you need is a mat, some picnic-themed toys, cute party outfits and voila…before you know it, the kids are having a blast making pretend tea and setting all the ‘food’ around. The pretty toys, kindly provided by Early Learning Centre – Malta, kept the girls entertained for hours, and the gorgeous outfits by Monsoon, added some dress-up fun to the adventure.

“It’s my cake”…”No, it’s mine!”
The Wooden Birthday Cake and the Pink picnic hamper (with tea set) in particular were big hits with both girls. We hope you like these images as much as we do and we encourage you to try an indoor picnic..the kids really did have a blast.
