Late last night, Maltese MEP Miriam Dalli shared a photo on instagram of her discussing aviation emissions during a meeting with European Commissioner Violeta Bulc in Brussels, accompanied by her baby boy, Kane.
She writes: “His first committee meeting..definitely not the last”
When asked if she thinks something like this could happen in Malta she says : “I honestly hope we will manage to push the boundaries and change the status quo … small steps are already happening but obviously we need more”. In Malta , few employers are known to allow employees to bring children to work.
Many commended her for this since this image serves as wonderful example of how working mums can have a career and also be actively involved in their child’s upbringing.
