When we were considering going on holiday for the first time as a family of four, we wanted to find somewhere that would offer fun and adventure for our two young children (aged 3 and 1) and also offer a break for us parents (if at all possible). I researched about it and found that Paulton’s park (home to Peppa Pig World) in the New Forest Area, United Kingdom would be the ideal place for our first family holiday.
Starting with the accommodation, to the rides at Peppa Pig World, it was a great choice and we all had a super, memorable time.
Here are our 5 highlights of the trip:
1) The cottage
We chose to stay in one of the beautiful cottages in the New Forest Area. This turned out to be an excellent choice and the cottage exceeded our expectations. There were toys which were clean and in mint condition (this saved us some luggage space), a travel cot, safety gate, a swing in the yard and even a little playhouse which the kids absolutely loved and much more. Plus it was only 15 minutes drive away from Peppa Pig World!
The kids were mesmerized to see their favourite characters come to life in a colourful and magical setting. From “Mr. Potato land” to “Grandpa Pig’s locomotive” this was a great experience for all of us. Even the little one could join in on most of the rides.
3) Paulton’s park
Our main objective was to get the kids to experience “Peppa Pig World” however we were very pleasantly surprised to find out that it was housed in an even bigger park – “Paulton’s park” which offered more great rides for all of us.
We had never taken our 3 year old to the cinema so we were a bit wary of this however since it was only around 15 minutes long, we thought “why not?”. We had a great time and our daughter really got into the whole experience.
I didn’t have very high expectations about this farm, in fact it was hubby who really pushed us all to go. Boy was I proved wrong. It was really well planned out and very hygienic. Each and every activity was fun for the kids and there was also an indoor play area where they could climb and slide around as they love to do :).
If you are considering making this trip, we truly recommend it and the biggest highlight for me as a mummy was the child-friendliness overall. From microwaves to warm up baby food at the farm cafe, to the fact that there was a non-slip kids mat in the bath at the cottage. This meant that everything went smoothly and mum and dad could somewhat “relax” :).
